Hey guys, my name is Duke and I am an English Bulldog.  Subaru of LR asked me to share some of my tips on how to keep your furry-four legged family members cool this Summer.  We are in the Dog Days of Summer where it can get over 100 degrees in the sun.  Just like humans, we need cool water available to us at all times and please please please keep our water bowls full and in the shade. 
    Speaking of Shade,  if you let your pal spend the day outside, make sure they have some type of shelter.  Believe it or not, but we dogs do get sunburned.  So a shade tree is nice, but not as nice as an actual structure like an insulated dog house and if you really love us, like we know you do, splurge for a cooling pool.  Everyone loves the smell of wet dog.  I like to spend my days inside guarding the air vents.  Another nice tip, if you are going to take us on a jog or walk lets go in the cool hours of the morning and make sure to bring us some water. 
    Remember an alone dog is a lonely dog.  Think about it, we are pack animals.  So contact C.A.R.E or the Pulaski County Humane Society and give someone a home.
